SIRS Awards Nominations

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Outstanding Clinical/Community Research Award, Outstanding Basic Research Awards and the Rising Star Award.  The deadline for nominations is Friday, 1 November, 2013.  Researchers nominated must be current members of the Society.  Award winners will be notified in January 2014.  Participation at the 4th Biennial Schizophrenia International Research Society Conference taking place 5-9 April, 2014 in Florence Italy is required.  The awards will be presented on Monday, 7 April.

Outstanding Clinical/Community Research
This award is given to a SIRS member in recognition of an outstanding clinical/community contribution to schizophrenia research.  The contribution may be based on a single discovery or a cumulative body of work. The selection of the award recipient is based on the quality of the contribution(s) and its impact in advancing schizophrenia research.  To submit a nomination, click on the following link to complete the 2013 Outstanding Clinical/Community Research Award Nomination Form.

Outstanding Basic Research
This award is given to a SIRS member in recognition of an outstanding basic research contribution to schizophrenia research.  The contribution may be preclinical or work which emphasizes the interface between basic and clinical research.  The selection of the award recipient is based on the quality of the contribution(s) and its impact in advancing schizophrenia research.  To submit a nomination, click on the following link to complete the 2013 Outstanding Basic Research Award Nomination Form.

Rising Star
Early career researchers who are less than 40 years old by April 2014 or within five years post-doc.  To submit a nomination, click on the following link to complete the 2013 Rising Star Award Nomination Form.
